The next time you have a dinner party or open house, try these unique ideas for votive candle holders:

Using a paring knife and a melon baller, cut out a small whole in an apple at the stem.  Place the votive candle inside.

Find new or vintage metal ladles and hang them on your wall.  (out of reach from pets and children)  Place votive tea light candles inside.

Purchase acrylic glaze (glitter or not, you choose) from the craft store.  Also purchase colored tissue paper.  Tear small pieces of tissue paper and affix it to small glass votive holders with the glaze.  Let dry and place the candle inside.  The tissue paper will have a stained glass look.
