Women often spend a lot of time and thought focused on becoming pregnant, being pregnant, and their precious new bundle of joy, but many of them often don't give a whole lot of thought to their labor and delivery.  I certainly didn't the first time.  After a not so pleasant experience (even for childbirth) with my eldest, I decided to become more educated the second time around.  I did it mostly on my own, but after my second is born I saw this great documentary that I think every pregnant woman should see.  "The Business of Being Born," is documentary made by Ricki Lake (yes, that Ricki Lake) that helps educate women on the history and current situation of labor and delivery in the United States.  Check out www.thebusinessofbeingborn.com for more information.
