Everyone knows the Boston Museum of Science has interesting, interactive exhibits and shows for older children and adults. However, there is also a play area for children 0-8 on the first level called the Discovery Zone. It's perfect for rainy or wintry days when you can't get outside. My family bought a museum membership so that we have free parking and free admission anytime we go. There is a lot for babies and toddlers to play with and touch here: Large water table, magnets, puppets, and costumes are just a small sampling of what your child can play with. It's a terrific play area that also serves some educational purpose for all ages. There is even a place here for mothers to nurse (or bottle feed) with a glider and boppies. It's a nice alternative to the children's museum.
