With Black Friday a little over a week away, a lot of people are on the look out for good deals and a lot of those good deals include rebates and warranties.  Watch out!  In todays economic climate, one of the biggest rebate companies, CPG, has gone under and the rebates promised by it (including those from Home Depot, Costco, etc...) have gone with it.  When you are looking at deals with rebates this holiday season, make sure you know you will get that rebate.  

In addition, you want to make sure if you are getting a warranty for your product that the company will still be there to uphold it.   And if you are choosing the versatile gift card to give this year make sure it is at a company you can count on being around.  With companies like Circuit City and Linens N Things in bankruptcy or on the verge of it, you will want to make sure every purchase is a wise one with the long term in mind.
