SkiNH.com has a fantastic deal for fifth graders to get free lift tickets! And you don't have to be a NH resident. This is a great opportunity to get your child outside during the winter and enjoy a day at the slopes!
For only a $20.00 donation and proof your child is in fifth grade (a report card copy or a note on school letterhead) he or she can receive a "snowsports passport" coupon book, which contains from one to up to three free lift tickets at most NH ski areas!
For instance, druing February vacation we will be at Bretton Woods, and my son can get 3 free tickets! The book also includes discounts for a parent or sibling, or a free lesson/rentals. And best of all, five dollars of every donation will be sent to the Make a Wish Foundation. Just go to the website and complete an application, and mail it in with your donation. The passport books will be available in December.
Fourth graders can get a great deal, too. To get free tickets, your fourth grader can simply write an assignment or extra credit project that tells about the history of skiing in New Hampshire. The teacher then submits their names and they receive a coupon book with a lift ticket and trail pass to every Ski NH member area, along with other discounts.
We have skiied as a family at many New Hampshire mountains and have been extremely happy with the lessons and staff at each one. If your child has not skiied before, I highly suggest a lesson! All the instructors are amazing with the littlest of kids to teens!
