The woman who created this web site is an amateur storm chaser and photographer.  But she's very good at explaining elements of storms to kids. I even learned stuff about lightning by reading her site.  She explains why lightning causes thunder and what to do if you see a tornado in your car.  And she's taken gorgeous pictures of tornadoes and lightning.  I should probably add that she's a former colleague of mine and a nice person in general.
