Here is an unusual meatloaf recipe that’s tried and true and will keep them coming back for more!
This recipe is so simple that even the most cooking-challenged person in the world can make it. It is so good that the most experienced cook will want to serve it over and over again.
There are about as many ways of making a meatloaf as there are cooks, so what makes this one so uniquely special that I would publish it? It’s all in the ingredients of course. And, easy part? No messy crackers crumbs, no chopping onions, and no ketchup to mess with…unless you’re a die-hard and insist on ketchup as a topping.
I have had this recipe for years, and it is the only one I use. I’ll bet you’ll love too! Here it goes:
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 reg. size pkg. Lipton's Onion Soup
1 small can evaporated milk
1 egg
1 heaping cup of grated cheese
1 small can chopped mushrooms...drained
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350
Place all ingredients in large bowl and mix well with gloved hands. Place mixture into chosen baking dish, loaf pan, or muffin tin.
Place meatloaf into the 350 degree oven and set timer for one hour.
Check the middle with a fork to see if it is done enough for you. If using a loaf pan, you may need to cook it longer.
TIPS:
1 Be sure to keep some of the juices from the meat in tack so your meatloaf will not dry out. You might even add a bit of red wine to the existing juices should it appear dry.
2) For hygiene purposes, be considerate and cautious and wear plastic gloves when preparing any meatloaf recipe.
