I saw these tips on Fine Living Network on a public service announcement. When flying with infants and toddlers, introduce yourself and your baby to the people sitting nearby. They will be less annoyed with your baby if they feel they know him or her personally. Bring plenty of old familiar, loved toys but be sure to bring one brand new thing too. Don't make the baby's first flight too long. If you are going to Australia, fly somewhere close a few weeks before. Finally, buy an extra luggage tag and put your name, address and phone number on it. Attach it to your baby's clothes.

I travel with my kids from Hawaii to the mainland all the time, these are great tips...never thought about attaching a luggage tag to my kids - although I definitely should with my 4-year old!!
