All of our kids go through phases when they seem fearful of something or another...the dark, monsters, etc.  But what to do if the fear doesn't go away?  What if it gets bigger?  What if the fear starts to take over and control the child's life?  When a child has anxiety, it can affect the whole family in a variety of ways.  If left untreated, the anxiety can develop into more troubling problems for the child.  There is hope.  Anxiety in childhood is very treatable, and the earlier it's tackled, the better for the child.  There is much that a parent can do to help with the right tools.  The link here will provide you with some of the best tools available (books and workbooks and activities) that help shrink down kids' anxiety.  All of the books have been tested and used by a mom who is also a child and family therapist:
