The Hunger Brunch is a great opportunity to try some of the high end restaurants that you may not usually go to (especially with the kids) because they prices are good and the money goes to a great cause. The nice thing about the hunger brunch is that some of the restaurants where you wouldn't usually feel comfortable bringing the children will have a much more streamlined, brunch menu and with that a much more relaxed casual atmosphere. You can still enjoy the chef's great food and not feel too bad if your little one doesn't finish his meal. Also, some restaurants that are not usually open for brunch will be so if you have early bird children you can still enjoy a nice afternoon out and be home in time for dinner, bath and bedtime.
There are also a few other events that are worth mentioning. One is for the Joslin Center for Diabetes and the other is for the Food for Free program.
As always, you know your child best so make the call whether you want to enjoy a meal out as a family or have the sitter, grandpa, neighbour, come and entertain the children for a few hours.
