Do you ever wonder how our parents, grandparents and great grandparents were able to live comfortable with less than what we have today? In our world of must- have shiny new iPhones or flatscreen TVs, often we forget what's important-planning and saving for the future. Teaching kids today about money and saving gets increasingly hard with so much material merchandise around them-tv commercials, friends, malls.   I remember when my grandmother used to sew clothes for my Barbie dolls. They were more chic and fashionable thant he prepacked Mattel clothing in the stores.

Here's a great reminder and teaching lesson from the Great Depression.
