HEPA air purifiers are the ultimate in obtaining great indoor air quality in our living spaces. These air purifiers can remove nearly all type of pollutants by effectively removing dust, allergens, mold, micro-organisms, cigarette smoke, odors, chemicals, bacteria, mold spores and much more.

When searching for a HEPA air purifier, be sure that you buy a model with multi-clean technology. Look for the following list of cleaning methods:

  1. Washable Pre-filter: This is where the first and largest particles are captured. Make sure this filter section is easily removable and easily cleaned.
  2. Washable Dust Collector Plates: This filter section traps and collects dust on a electrostatically-charged plate similar to a magnet.
  3. Activated Carbon Filter: The best filter for eliminating odors such as cigarette smoke, VOC's that other filters cannot.
  4. Photocatalytic Oxidation Filter: reduces chemicals, bacteria and odors.
  5. High-Efficiency HEPA Filter: This filter section traps dust, allergens and other solid particulates.
  6. Germicidal UV Lamp Section: This destroys germs, bacteria, mold, fungi and keeps them from recirculating in the room.
  7. Ionizer: This section circulates trillions of negative ions to neutralized floating pollutants in the home.

Other features to consider are: Odor, dust and allergen sensors, clean air monitor, filter replacement monitors and UV indicator light to indicate the UV section is operating properly.

One HEPA air purifier that I'm extremely interested in is the NaturoPure HF-380 by Heaven Fresh, Inc. This unit includes all the above features and a lot more. One really nice feature is the automatic mode, which will automatically adjust the settings accordingly, reducing the units electricity usage once the air is fairly clean.

The unit sells for a very reasonable $229.00 and shipping is free in the continental US. The unit is an energy miser and only consumes 80 watts at the highest fan setting.

I love this unit and if you desire clean, fresh air in your home consider it. It is also an ideal unit to partner in a toxic black mold cleanup operation.
