If you have a baby and haven't tried the Baby Einstein DVD's yet, they are well worth the money that you'll spend. I bought the entire collection when my seven year old was a baby and our family has gotten more use out of these products than any other toy or video that I have every purchased - and since I'm somewhat of a compulsive shopper, that amounts to a lot of toys and videos.
There are lots of Baby Einstein DVDs available, but if you have a baby and are purchasing your first set of products, I highly recommend the Stage 1 set. It comes with 7 DVDs and covers a wide range. My kids actually started showing interest in them at about 4 months and my 4-year old still sometimes likes to have on her Baby Einstein DVD's while she plays in her room.
The movies included in the Stage 1 set include Baby Shakespeare, Baby Neptune, Baby's First Moves, Baby Bach, Baby Mozart, Neighborhood Animals, and our personal favorite, My First Signs.
The music on the Baby Einstein DVDs is extremely calming and the images are designed with a baby in mind. It's pretty incredible when you consider that all of the products were originally designed by a mom.
Now, I'm not one for putting my kids in front of the television, but I really love these products. When my kids were babies, I would frequently watch the movies with them. We loved the My First Signs video because it allowed me to start communicating with my children when they were very young.
Check out the Baby Einstein
videos. There are options for every family. Again, if you have a small baby, start with the Stage 1 or simply buy one or two single DVDs to see how you like them. I guarantee you'll end up addicted like me and buy the whole set!
