Have you ever wished that you could build your own website? Is there something that you are passionate about and wondered if you could turn your passion into extra income or even a living? There are people who, with no experience, build a website and make money - some of them even make a good amount of money. And no, it's not a get-rich quick scheme - it's a lot of work!

I used to work outside of the home. I was the top sales rep for a company that sold electronic health record software to hospitals. I traveled all over the country, and even the world, and I loved it. And then I had kids. I didn't know what I wanted to do anymore - traveling 75% of the time wasn't an option and I really didn't want to take a job where I'd be sitting in an office all day - it just wasn't me. A few months ago, I was surfing the internet looking for a new recips for chips and dip. I came across a website and got interested enough in the websites to start surfing. I could tell that it wasn't a "professionally" made website and eventually ended up on the About Me page of the site. I read the story with great interest as I realized that it was made by a mom, like me, who had used a program called Site-Build-It to build a website. I was pretty interested, but still didn't think I could do it myself. I don't know the first thing about building a website!

I kept thinking about it though and finally started to research the company. Almost all of the people using it said they didn't know a thing about building a website before they started and some of them were doing really good. I don't take anything at face value though so I started doing searches on Google for different keywords and was finding that these sites rank really high in Google searches. Now, I don't know a lot about the internet, but I know that if you are #1 in Google, you have a chance of having a pretty popular site. It seemed I kept coming across sites that were built using this progam.

But the price was still putting me off. It was $299 for everything needed to build a website, including step-by-step directions, the actual software the builds the site, the domain name, research tools and everything else needed. Before I was willing to spend that money, I contacted some website owners that I found on my own and they all loved this program. Some were starting to make a little money and some were making a lot.

So, I finally took the plunge. I'm not rich yet, but I love what I'm doing. I realized that I can build a website, I can talk about things that I love and I can get visitors - I'm in my 3rd month and I'm averaging over 40 a day. It's definitely work, but it's work I love because I get to write about something that I love.

It won't make you a million dollars overnight. It might not make a million dollars ever. But if you follow the directions and build a great website, the chances that you can create a site that will earn you money are very, very high!
