A few years ago, I learned from a friend that I could use lemon juice to help get my white clothes and linens clean. I started using it and I loved it. Then I learned that there is lots of possibilities when cleaning with lemon juice and I've been hooked ever since.
I love the smell of lemons, they work well for a ton of cleaning projects, and it's an incredibly eco friendly way to clean household items.
Here are some cleaning tips, all can be done with lemon juice:
1. Add lemon juice to a load of white laundry. I love to use lemon with linens. Just be careful not to use it on silk clothing.
2. You can also use lemon juice to clean laminate countertops. Simply cut a lemon in half and then use it to scrub your countertop.
3. Lemons are great for cleaning and disinfecting cutting boards. Again, cut the lemon in half and use it to scrub your cutting board.
4. Got copper pans? Lemon juice works great! Make sure that it's solid brass. Take your lemon and cut it in half. Sprinkle a little salt on the lemon and use it to scrub your brass.
5. You can also mix lemon juice and baking soda to get stains out of tupperware. All of my tupperware used to be stained with leftover spaghetti sauce...not anymore!
6. You can also use lemon juice to disinfect and clean all kinds of items including toothbrushes, earrings, and other jewelry.
7. It's also a great deodorizer. Mix some lemon juice and water in a spray bottle and use it in diaper pails, garbage cans, and more.
Have fun cleaing with lemon juice!
