When I was pregnant, whether it was my first pregnancy or my last, I couldn't get my hands on enough good pregnancy books. I think I read every one that was on the market. After reading all of them, here's a list of the ones that I considered to be the "best of the best"

What to Expect When You're Expecting: This book has been around forever and it's still a great book. They update it frequently so it's always packed with useful and current information. I really enjoy being able to turn right to a specific month to to see exactly what is going on with my body. I used my copy of this book so much during pregnancy that I had to buy a new book when I got pregnant again!

The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy: This is probably one of my absolute favorites. It's definitely not a book that focuses on the medical aspects of pregnancy, but it is funny and the author takes a candid look at pregancy from the author's perspective. I laughed a lot when I read this book and have passed it on to lots of pregnant friends.

Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy: I trust just about anything that Mayo Clinic puts out, which was the deciding factor for me when buying this book. It's definitely heavy on facts and medical information and is written from a medical perspective but it's full of good, high-quality information. I referred to it often, but it wasn't one of those books that I sat down to read for fun. In the end, well worth the money spent!

What to Expect When Your Wife is Expanding: This is a great book for expecting dads. My husband hates to read, but even he enjoyed this one. It's written from the perspective of a father and even better, it's funny! After my husband finished it, I read it too just to see what they were saying about us and thought it was a great book and really funny.

There are lots and lots of other pregnancy books availalble, I've read and enjoyed a lot more than the ones mentioned here, but these are some of my personal favorites. Pick what's interesting to you and have fun learning about what's happening to your body!
