eHow is a content-rich website, that offers tons of how-to articles for their web visitors. They also have a writer's compensation program that anyone who lives in the United States can sign up for, free of charge.  Once you've signed up for the writer's compensation program you can start adding your own how-to articles and ehow pays you a portion of the revenue that they earn from your articles. 

It's probably not a way to get rich, but some of the most prolific writers on eHow are making well over a thousand a month, and at least one has made in excess of $2,000 in a month.  I started writing there on the 1st of December and made $36 my first month, $95 my second month, $127 my third month, and I'm headed for an even bigger month this time around.  

eHow has a friendly community and forums that you can join to get great ideas on writing articles that will get visitors and earn money.  They are a legitimate company with a reputation of paying their writers for more than a year now.  

The real beauty of this model is that you can write an article today that will continue to earn money for you for months, or even years, into the future.  Sure, your article may only earn $1 a month, but after 12 months you'll have earned $12 on an article that may have taken you 30 minutes to write.  Not too shabby! Some eHow writer's have managed to write articles that have brought in hundreds, and in a few cases, more than a thousand dollars!
