This may come as a big surprise to you, since the government seems to regulate about everything - however, they don't regulate the personal health care industry at all.  What that means us, consumers, is that we've got to pay attention to what's in the products that we are buying because no one else is going to do it for us. That's why I try really hard to choose only natural skin care products. 

I'm typically not overly concerned about things like this because I know that there are other products that have a far greater potential for harm, but it seems silly to me to support companies that are using questionable ingredients in the products that they sell to the public.  In fact, many skin care products that we use everyday contain known human carcinogens.
