I found a great website today when I was looking up information about working from home. There are lots and lots of moms who are looking for work at home opportunities. Chances are, that number is up because of the current economy.

Sadly, there are lots of people out there that will take advantage of anyone they can to make a buck.  The sheer amount of work at home scams out there is enough to scare anyone away from trying to find a job where they can work at home.

Not getting taken by a scam is often as simple as using your common sense, but when you really want to work at home you are more likely to buy into something that isn't for real. Scammers are also getting more sophisticated at taking advantage of people and even the smartest people sometimes fall into their schemes.

If you are looking for a work at home opportunity, be sure to check out the article above. It lists the top 10 work at home scams. The website seems to have a lot of other free articles on different kinds of scams that may be useful.

Seems like most of the scams require you to pay money up front to start some sort of business, which never pans out. Looks like the requirement to pay money up front is a good red flag for these types of things.
