There are lots of great ways that you can use aluminum foil...far beyond just using it to cover food.  Here's just a few cool ways that you can use aluminum foil around your house.

~ Have you ever wondered how restaurants get those great looking grill marks on steak?  If you can't do it on your own grill, try putting a piece of aluminum foil on the grill for about 10 - 15 minutes before you put your steaks on. It will hold the heat in, and a hot grill is what leave the great marks on the steak.

~  When painting, aluminum foil is great for covering small things, such as door knobs. Just like it attaches well to bowls in the kitchen, it can be used to protect things in the house from getting paint on them.

~ You may have heard this one, but foil is great to use around the edge of a pie during baking. It keeps the edges of your pie from getting burned. Simply take it off the last ten minutes of cooking to slightly brown the edges. You'll end up with a perfect pie.

~  Have a used piece of foil that you don't know what to do with?  Use it one more time before you throw it out by scrubbing out glass bakeware in the kitchen. Add a little soap and water and it works just as well as a steel wool pad - you'll save money and get one last use out of your foil before throwing it away.

~  If you have your TV on top of your DVD player, they may be interfering with one another and affecting the picture quality on your television.  Just place a piece of aluminum foil in between them to stop it from happening.
