We recently booked a hotel at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotels and it was wonderful.  It's the only hotel that I know of where you can sleep in an authentic train car.  It's actually an old Victorian train from the early 1900's, but it's been updated and has been turned into 40 sleeping rooms as part of the Marriott hotel in Chattanooga.

You'll feel like you've stepped back in time and your kids will think that sleeping in a train car is a really great adventure, but you won't have to give up any of the perks that you are used to having in a hotel room. The Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel rooms all have DSL internet, cable television, and phones.  

The only possible downfall to these rooms is that they only have one bed per room.  Some of the rooms do offer sleeper couches, but for a longer vacation, you may want your children to have a bed.  My kids wanted to stay at the Chatanooga Choo Choo Hotel so bad that my husband and I decided to split up and each share a room with one child.  

They also offer package deals which are really good.  For example, a family of four can get one train sleeper room for 2 nights, with lots of fun family activities like tickets to the zoo, tickets to the Imax Theatre, tickets to the childrens museum, and free food for kids for $500.  They have other package options as well that will allow you to have fun and enjoy a great vacation while saving money.  

If you are going to be in the Chattanooga area and what to stay somewhere different, this is a great option.  We loved it!
