If you are planning a trip to the Magic Kingdom, consider going when you can get a Disney World Special Package, like the free dining package.

It's no secret, going to Disney World can be expensive! In fact, the cost can be downright prohibitive for some families. However, there are often specials that can make it more affordable.  

For example, right now if you book a trip during the months of September or October you can get free dining with your package.  The last time I visited, I stayed off-site in Celebration at a vacation home so that I could cook meals and save money.  But, vacation isn't really a vacation when you've got to cook all the time! 

So, when I saw the current Disney World Special that included meals with a Disney vacation package, I couldn't resist booking a trip. It's actually come out to be cheaper than the last time that I went and this time we get to stay right on the resort property, and enjoy all of the character and other fun dining experiences.  

If you watch carefully and sign up for their specials, you can sometimes get a great deal on a package that will save you hundreds of dollars.  This vacation alone is going to save me almost $800 for a family of five. That's nothing to sneeze at! 

The only problem about these Disney World special packages is that they are often only available during the times when the park is slow. They offer the specials to fill their hotels and their parks.  If you have kids, that means you might have to take them out of school. My kids don't miss much school as a result of sickness, so for us it's completely worth it!
