There was a time when we would go into the North End to try a new restaurant.  We would either hop on the T or drive through the crazy big dig and find parking miles away and walk to the restaurant.  Now, time is money and the money is going to the babysitter.  So if we're going out it has to be easy to get to and worth the drive.  

51 Lincoln is in Newton which is not exactly in our neighbourhood, but parking is easy and at dinner time, there is no traffic getting there so it was a perfect date night destination.  We are done with the days when we are willing to drive around for over half an hour looking for parking.  Although the restaurant is in a quiet neighbourhood in Newton Highlands, the place is hip and vibrant.  I had a chance to speak with chef Jeff Fournier recently to talk a little about food, inspiration, and 51 Lincoln.
