EDIT: MORE RESOURCES AT THE BOTTOM:
I haven't seen any tips on childhood bipolar disorder on this site, so let me be the first to add one. I've created a list on online resources as well as a few books on the topic of childhood bipolar disorder. My son has bipolar disorder and I have found these resources very helpful in our journey.
Websites:
Georgia Childhood Bipolar Foundation: http://www.gcbf.org/ (has mood charts) Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation: http://www.bpkids.org (a good article on what pediatric bipolar disorder is)Bipolar Child:
http://www.bipolarchild.com/ by Demetri and Janice Papolos, authors of The Bipolar Child (the guidebook for childhood bipolar - sited below) Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder_in_children (good resources)Our BP Kids:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/OurBPKids/ a yahoo group for parents of children with bioplar. It has many resources on natural treatments for the disorder, but the group is open to those who treat with traditional medicineBipolar Parents: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BipolarParents/ another yahoo group. This one seems to have more people treating traditionally, but both groups are good. Books:
