The 4th of July is quickly approaching and several free events are taking place in the Seattle area. You may find that setting off fireworks for the general public is banned in many areas, but that does not mean you can't enjoy one of the free firework displays offered by several communities.
The biggest free 4th of July celebration in Seattle will be at Gas Works Park, with fireworks over Lake Union. Usually there are two big shows but the Ivars event has been cancelled this year. That means you can expect larger than normal crowds at the Gas Works Park location.
Many other areas will offer festivities including parades, children's activities and fireworks. No matter where you are located there is sure to be a free 4th of July event nearby. You can find links to several scheduled events around Washington State in this article: Free 4th of July events in the Seattle area.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
