If you have a few moments before an unexpected visitor arrives do this:

•  Grab a laundry basket and gather clutter around the house, stash it in the bathtub/shower stalls, or laundry room to hide it!
• Also, tidy sinks are a sign of a clean house.  Clean down sinks and empty your kitchen sink of dirty dishes. Swish around the toilet with some cleaner and flush....fresh smelling bathrooms are always a bonus.
• That should at least make you look like you've been preparing all day for their arrival! Also, I always have a frozen pound cake ready in the wings, too!
