This link is great for solving everyday problems using ordinary household items. I discovered it because I usually double knot my tennis shoes so they don't become untied while I'm walking. Somehow when I pulled at one of the laces to untie them, I managed to create a ridiculously obstinate knot. My stubby fingers weren't doing much good, so off to the google. Not only did I undo the knot in record time, I learned all sorts of other great tips for household items such as rubbing waxed paper over chrome after washing to prevent water spots and keep it smudge free. That seems to work pretty good. It says to clean a sticky iron, sprinkle some salt on brown paper and run the hot iron over it. I'm off to try that now.
