Chili With BIscuit Bowls

Yesterday I saw Paula Deen make chili, and she served it in edible bowls made of biscuit dough. OF course she made her own dough, but I am going to make them with either the refrigerated canned biscuit dough or a dough made with bisquick. You make your dough, then spray the back of a large muffin tin. Roll out your dough to  6 inch circles, and drape them over the backs of the muffin tin cups. Bake for the usual time and carefully remove. In Paula's recipe, she added some cayenne pepper to her dough, but I wouldn't because I want them to be kid-friendly. I guess you could use the bowls for all types of things, not just chili!

I use crescent rolls, bake the bowl, then add taco meat, cheese lettuce tomato, etc. Very good.

That sounds yummy. I think I will try that too. Maybe add some cheese to my dough.

I often do this with pie dough as well - and using the mini pans right up to the huge muffin tins.
