Check out the City of Boston ’s one-stop holiday planning website.
The 6th Annual MayorsHolidaySpecial.com is the ticket to a festive day, a sparkling getaway, and the complete Boston experience at an easier-to-afford price. It offers 1/2-price seats to holiday shows like The 101 Dalmatians Musical, the Holiday Pops, Disney on Ice and Boston Ballet's "The Nutcracker," and dozens more. It also provides a guide to the area's free and low-cost festivities. And this year it provides HUNDREDS of special offers that help you shop, eat, stay and even park for less.
The site is free to use, and you can print out as many vouchers for discounts as you like. You buy the 1/2 price arts tickets directly online, and use the vouchers in the restaurants, hotels, stores and services (like salons).
In addition to the half-price holiday show tickets, discounts include deals like 20 percent off hotel stays and dinner entrees, free appetizers or desserts, free access to shopping discount passes, and low, flat parking rates. The three-month program runs from October 15, 2009 to January 18, 2010, a month longer than in previous years.
