Oh my goodness, why didn't I think of this?! If you have a glass cooktop, you have noticed the light stays on indicating that the cooktop is still hot, and it stays on for a very long time. I just had someone tell me to shut the burner off 5 or so minutes before you are finished cooking. The cooktop will remain just as hot, and you are saving money and electricity!
