The Secrets of the Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg was the best shower gift that I received.  It helped me navigate through the perils of breastfeeding and the triumph of sleeping through the night.  Sadly, Tracy Hogg died in 2004 and when I read that, I felt as if I had lost a great friend.  That is how much I value her advice.  Check it out!
