Well, surprise, surprise! My pre-teen and teen kids weren't bored, whiney, annoyed, or annoying today on our daytrip to Rockport on Cape Ann, near Gloucester. It's a beautiful area with little shops, tons of art galleries, lots of ice cream and salt water taffy, and breath-taking views. We walked for hours and saw every little thing, with not one single complaint! Now, I have well mannered, lovely kids, but this was an unusually pleasant day. Try it soon, most things close after labor day and reopen in April.
