There's a brand new enrichment program in Newton called Mind Lab. Tucked away in a corner on Wells Ave, in a small, but brand spanking new facility, is a really neat program that teaches kids how to think through playing with thinking board games [like Rush Hour from ThinkFun].

We went to an open house and met four of the teachers. They are young and enthusiastic - all teacher certified and most with Masters Degrees. My kids played some of the board games they use in class and they told me about the curriculum - more info available here.

I had to drag my kids away and we're signing up for the Fall. Nice enrichment alternative for kids agse 4-14 who love puzzles and thinking games. Check it out - it's a great new way to offer your children a learning opportunity thru play!
