How to quickly cool oatmeal for impatient little ones
Ages:
General Interest
By:GeekyMama

No more whining because the oatmeal is taking too long to cool and mommy isn't blowing fast enough.

After my son's oatmeal is done cooking, I just add a handful of frozen blueberries. As they thaw, they cool the oatmeal to a temperature acceptable to tiny tastebuds. On top of that, you're sneaking in a serving of fruit first thing in the morning.

I use instant oatmeal and use warm water to mix and skip the microwave and serve as is. No need to cool it!

This is great and I think I could put all sorts of frozen fruits in! I usually make the oatmeal (or Malt-O-Meal) a little thick and then add more milk to cool it and thin it at the same time. Thanks!

Great idea! I have been using ice cubes. They work as well.

But that means Goldilocks won't have a chance to come! Just kidding, great idea.
