If you're looking for an excellent manicure and/or pedicure try The Square Nail Studio in Davis Square next to Johnny D's restaurant.  It's a small salon with adorable decorations and a very warm feeling. It feels like you're sitting in someone's living room getting a perfect mani/pedi.  It's a natural-style salon- no massage chairs, nail dryers or acrylics.  Instead they use big tin tubs for your foot bath and natural oils to help your nails dry.  A pedicure costs $40- but lasts about an hour, buffing your feet, exfoliating and massaging- along with painting your toes.  A manicure is $20 and includes an exfoliation and massage.  Prices include French Manicures.  Becca is wonderful, and Heather, the owner is just as good!!
