My husband just put together our Ready To Assemble pieces from Crate & Barrel (coffee table, side table, media stand, console table- Kingston collection) and you'd never know that they were cheaper than the "real furniture!"  They are put together by screws, not those little wood pegs and all of the tables are very sturdy and look great.  Each piece comes with a screwdriver  and the hardware is neatly packaged with clear directions.  We have a relative that works there and she said the Ready To Assemble pieces are far better than they used to be!  We didn't want to spend a fortune on furniture because of kids in a high traffic room- and I think this was a good alternative!
