Finding a good dentist for your kids is REALLY important....I remember DREADING the dentist and now my kids go every six months with bells on, they LOVE it! - Children typically begin seeing a dentist around age 3 (unless issues arise earlier)
- Find a great dentist early as some have waiting lists. Locate a pediatric dentistry office - they have many tricks of the trade to perform filling with little discomfort!
- Ask around - your friends may recommend one to you
- Contact your insurance company, or pediatrician for referrals

Thanks for this post! I would also add, when you are making the first appointment, to make sure to ask what their policy is on letting a parent in during the visit. some pedi dentist offices have a strict policy that parents must wait in the waiting room. I feel like there is no way I'm going to let my 3 yr old have a procedure done without me there. So I called around and found a family dentist with a much more lenient policy.
