Irvine Regional Park is home to the Irvine Park Railroad which hosts regular and holiday themed rides through the park. We love forward to this every year - especially the Christmas Train which includes a ride through the holiday lights to see Santa. Currently the park is hosting a pumpkin patch with hayrides, face painting and haunted house among other seasonal activites. The park is also home to the Orange County Zoo. It is a great place for a family picnic or birthday party but go early because this park can definitely get crowded. Zippers Comments

Resource_Mom and Miriam... we hope that you'll be able to make it to the Pumpkin Patch this year!
Our family loves Irvine Park Railroad! We have been visiting the railroad for several years now and every December look foward to the Christmas train ride. While the night-time ride is one of the highlights, Santa Claus is always a hit with our children. Our children talk to Santa Claus and the staff usually has to escort our children off of Santa's sleigh; they'd visit with him for hours if we allowed them to! The Christmas light show is beautiful, the staff must start putting up Christmas lights in August. Santa's helpers are extremely friendly with the children too. If you have the opportunity, visit Irvine Park Railroad and ride the Christmas train!
