Springs Brook Park is a man-made lake, surrounded by soft, white sand, a small waterpark, a playground, snack shop, bathroom/changing rooms, volleyball and tetherball courts, a diving dock, a curving waterslide, and quiet, peaceful woods in which to barbecue on the provided grills. This place is so serene, so relaxing, so luxurious, that when we bought a season's membership last year, I actually felt guilty that I hadn't called all my friends and insisted they join too. You simply must go for at least a day, and then decide if you should buy a season pass. Warning: parking is limited, so go early in the day or later in the afternoon.
