| New | Save by creating your own Christmas Cards |
In order to cut some of the expenses surrounding the holidays, our family now spends a little extra effort towards producing our own Christmas cards. Instead of having an expensive professional portrait taken, coupled to all the costs of professionally-produced cards, we took our own candid digital photos last year and had regular 3"x5"s printed though our local drugstore for pennies per copy. These then went into printed blanks we bought through an online card vendor (link attached, but that is just who we used; shop around for different styles, occasions and prices); after a couple hours of stuffing and attaching labels, we were done. While the photos' quality may not quite be as professional, family and friends will appreciate the effort and the more personal photos. And with the huge recipient list, the cost difference was well worth the effort. Additionally, taking the photos turned into a fun event for the kids. Comments
