(The Boston American Girl Tea Party & Fashion Show was just announced and is not listed there yet.) For the American Girl-obsessed, these are absolute heaven. You tend to sit at round tables surrounding the walkway for the young models, dining on small sandwiches, lemonade and cookies. They suggest that the show is for ages 5 and up - my seven year old was the perfect age. It tends to last about an hour and a half with a 20 minute intermission. Young girls model American Girl fashions and walk the runway with dolls in tow. The commentary during the show explains how "clothing has changed over the years to reflect history." Many girls bring their dolls and there are numerous purchasing opportunities - including t-shirts, notepads, doll clothes and more. Sometimes there are even photographers, doll hair salons, nail painting, and American Girl Books and kits available. Great fun for those who are really into American Girl.
