| New | Nightime family fun at the museum |
On Friday nights, the beautiful deYoung Museum come alive with music, kids arts and crafts, and even cocktails! Every Friday, (except for regular hiatus dates Nov. thru Jan.) the deYoung stays open until 8:45pm, giving people a chance to view the galleries later than usual or just come for the party! Listen and dance to music- usually a live band-, buy a cocktail (free drink to members on openings) and make an art project with the kids! This evening event is free to members and all children under 12 years old, or available for the cost of admission to non-members.
My kids and I stumbled upon their Dio de las Muertos celebration recently and had a awesome time! We made skull necklaces and prayer flags while listening to the sounds of latin music, and watching colorful costumed people walking about.
Come check out the art or just enjoy the party! Comments
