| +1 | Holiday Light Shows at Macy's |
A holiday tradition continues at the Wanamaker Building in Center City Philadelphia. The Holiday Light Show and Organ Concert, hosted by Macy's, runs every other hour, daily until 6 p.m., on the enormous curtain in the center atrium of the store. The attached link from gophila.com has more details about the show, as well as a list nearby attractions. Many places to eat populate the surrounding blocks, making the shopping trip with the kids a lot easier, once shopping is done. Other holiday attractions, including photos with Santa and the animatronic Dickens Village are also available in the store during the holiday season. This was always one of my favorite holiday things to do when I was a kid, and I was appreciably amazed when my own little ones were transfixed by the tens of thousands of lights during the show; the trip into the city was worth it for the looks of absolute wonder on their faces alone. I hope to pass this on to them as one of the things they remember, and look forward to at the holidays as they grow. Zippers Comments
Sounds festive!
