Turn a Flea Market Find into a Photo Frame
An old barn or farmhouse window can be remade into a unique wall hanging or mantel display. Pair the old window with family photos or holiday cards and display it on your mantel or hang it on an entranceway wall. You can find old windows for sale at antique fairs, tag sales in rural areas, and even listed on eBay. Accent the barn wood lightly with white or a light color paint such as moss green, but be sure to retain the wood's worn look to keep it looking shabby chic. Another neat trick is to hang flat, vintage ornaments behind the window panes.
