We have a bunch of relatives and friends who live far away, and even if we know the kids love Legos or Webkinz or whatever, we're not always sure what they already have. And I'm not always sure what stores are convenient to their home for gift cards. So we often send Amazon.com Gift Cards because they can redeem them from anywhere for millions of items on the Amazon.com Web site. They can be sent via email, an e-card or on paper through the mail (if you're anxious about wanting to send a present instead of just an email). They can be great for tweens and teens since Amazon even has clothing, iTunes gift cards, iPod accessories, tons of baby items and more! A nice feature is that once recipients have entered the claim code on Amazon's site, they keep the balance in your account for use on future purchases - no lost card worries!  (And they are great for those last minute presents - they can be delivered almost instantly!)
