If your child has a favorite shirt that he/she has outgrown, or an athletic jersey that has special meaning, a great way to keep it out of a storage bin is to create a pillow out of it.

Cut the sleeves short and shorten the waist to desired length. Turn inside out and stitch around the edges, leaving part of the neck open. Turn the shirt right-side-out and stuff with pillow stuffing that can be bought in anywhere fabrics or crafts are sold. Stitch the remainder of the neckline.

This creates a nostalgic decoration for your child and his/her room.
