When my children's father comes to take them on an outing, usually to Sonic, Dairy Queen, ot Taco Bell (he always asks me to ride along), he makes it a long outing by driving to a location not so close to home. With three Sonics each within 2-6 minutes of my home, he puts in a favorite CD and take off to an eatery which may take 10-15 minutes to get there. He never seems to consider the gas usage when we make the drive. And often, I find him "turn(ing) a fews corners", as he calls it, during our outing, allowing the children more time to ride in "Daddy's Truck". I find it exciting as well, watching their faces as they take a peek at him via the rearview mirror.
