I'm a couch potato at heart: I can't afford a gym membership right now, but you'll pry my Tivo from my cold, dead hands. So my new year's resolution is to use my TV to get fit. I've added season passes to a few exercise shows (Inhale on the Oxygen channel, Shimmy on FitTV - bellydancing!, AllStar Workouts, and a couple others). Knowing that it will be a slightly different workout every day makes it more interesting than just doing the same tape or DVD all the time. It also gives me the chance to try out something new without looking like an idiot in public. And it's free (or more accurately, a sunk cost. Because I'm not giving up my cable subscription!).
