| +1 | Recycling-a family affair |
Today my family and I went to the local Landfill/Recycling Center and it was a learning experience for my 3 year old. She at this young age asked what I was doing and why, she sat in the car with her dad(it was cold) and they watched through the window. As I walked to each section, I showed her what we were recycling. We have been doing it where we live since she has been born, but there are very few bins and you can't recycle much. Of course at the recycling center for our area they accept everything from phone books to car batteries to magazines. There she can see the individual bins and really grasp what we are doing. We want to teach our daughter how important this is for her future and for the planet. She may seem a little young, but no child is ever too young to learn selflessness and making good choices. It may not have been a trip to the local playground, but she likes anytime that she can spend with mom and dad and she seemed excited about it! Recycling for a better tomorrow wonderful, family time always a good thing, making our daughter smile while learning-priceless! Comments
