Mare is a "natural coastal Italian restaurant" located on Richmond Street in the North End.  98% of the ingredients are natural; they use organic vegetables, free range chicken, hormone-free beef and whole grain pastas.  The atmosphere of Mare has been compared to a restaurant you'd visit in South Beach- it's modern and attractive with a wall that changes colors, top to bottom windows and long silver sheer curtains.  The food is very, very good- starting immediately with their fresh bread and olive oil dip.  If you do try it (which I suggest you do!)- definitely make reservations and go on the earlier side- it gets very crowded.  I had the Frutti di Mare- homemade pasta and very fresh seafood.
